Getting There & Away
Air
Culebra gets frequent air service from San Juan ($65 to $95 one way) and Ceiba ($30 to
$45 one way).
Air Flamenco ( 787-724-1818; www.airflamenco.net ) Has regular scheduled flights
to San Juan's Isla Grande and to Ceiba.
CulebraAir( 787-427-4808; www.culebraairservices.com ) and M&NAviation(
877-622-5566; www.mnaviation.com ) offer regional charter service, with flights to San
Juan averaging a bit over $100 per person on full three- or eight-seater planes.
Vieques Air Link ( 888-901-9247; www.viequesairlink.com ) Flies about four times
daily to/from San Juan's Isla Grande.
Boat
A number of companies offer charter services, which can be economical for groups. See

InterislandWaterTaxi( www.interislandwatertaxi.com ) Based in Fajardo, this operator
offers Culebra-Vieques charters ($535 for six people), and service to St Thomas.
Ferry
Ferries of the Maritime Transportation Authority (ATM) Culebra ( 787-742-3161;
www.atm.gobierno.pr ; ferrydock,Dewey; 8-11am&1-3pmMon-Fri); Fajardo (
787-863-0705; 8-11am & 1-3pm Mon-Fri) travel between Fajardo and Culebra thrice
daily and take about an hour and a half. Round-trip passenger fares are $4.50. Boats leave
Fajardo daily at 9am, 3pm and 7pm, and Culebra at 6:30am, 1pm and 5pm. A cargo ferry
takes two hours and runs two to three times daily Monday through Friday. However, Puerto
Rican rental car contracts prohibit taking cars on the ferry. Schedules change, so confirm
times. Good luck trying to reach an ATM employee by phone.
