has become a bit of a weekend and holi-
day hot spot, and its bright
friquitines
offer lots of succulent treats such as
arroz con jueyes
(rice with crab chunks) and shark nuggets. During the busy season it's fun and upbeat and
nowhere near as crowded as Luquillo.
Activities
Most outfitters operate out of the mammoth Palmas del Mar resort. Golfers can make re-
servations at either of the two

. The greens fee for the
6800yd Reese Jones course is $135 ($95 after 1pm) for nonguests; the old course (called
'the Palms') has similar prices.
The largest tennis facility in the Caribbean, the resort has 20
tennis courts (

, but you must make a reservation. Court fees are $20 per person an hour
during the day, and $30 at night.

a 5-mile radius). Prices start at $60/119 for a half-day snorkel/dive including gear. It also
