When customizing an internal search report, differentiate between home page
and category pages as they serve as potential starting points. some see the home page
as an invitation to search and prefer to start there. For others, pages that hold original
content may be the desired entry page if visitors landed there from a search engine.
Figure 10.29 shows us that about half of our visitors are search dominant and
search directly from the home page. it also tells us that about 5 percent of our visitors
who come from, say, the power tools page, do a search. We might want to expand this
report to document groups so we get a better understanding of these figures.
