In-Depth Information
Remember there is no home page anymore; the home page is where people enter
your site, and the bounce rate tells us how good those landing pages are. for some content
sites, such as a blog, reading one page might not be as negative as the bounce rate suggests.
consider setting up an alert on the bounce rate metric so that when a given page
with enough entries reaches a specified level, you are appropriately warned.
Search Engines and Referrers Reports
there is not much difference between a search engine and a traditional referrer beyond
the fact that search engines are likely to be the most popular referrer you have. You are
provided with feedback on the search phrase when talking about organic search and
campaign information when talking about paid search. Yahoo! provides access to this
in the form of six standard reports, which are concise and also great starting points:

a given visitor will be reported in as many different sources as appropriate.
the standard search engine report, shown in figure 8.24, may not help you
much beyond listing the traffic drivers.
