In-Depth Information
For the belt holes, create a simple cylinder shape with a hole in the center,
adding an edge loop around the middle to pull out to form the bump.
Next, turn your attention to the belt buckle and create a recess in the
center. This is where the main design will sit (Figure 10.37c).
Time to use your imagination and modeling skills to create a design for
her buckle. Here we created a simple rocket, but feel free add whatever
you like (Figure 10.37d).
Finally, add some more shape to the belt and belt loops to make it more
interesting. To achieve the look in Figure 10.37e, we simple added a few edge
loops to the models and adjusted the new geometry to create the raised areas.
(You can i nd the Silo scene created in this section in Chapter10/Files/10_Belt.sib.)
Now we can generate the main holster, which sits below the belt, on her
thigh. For this, we can again use the strap we created earlier, and adjust it to
suit our needs.
First, make sure the basic strap for the thigh is in the same scene as the
belt model, so you are looking at something like Figure 10.38a.
Now bring into the scene the strap you created earlier and edit it to hang
from the belt (Figure 10.38b).
Generate the holster straps.
