If you looking for a superior ef ect, why not create a new sole model, like the
one shown in Figure 9.17?
Bring this into your scene and replace your existing sole. As demonstrated
in Figure 9.18, you will be safe deleting the base sole from the boot, but you
will not be able to combine the new sole, as the dramatic change in topology
would destroy all your sculpting work. This will not matter, as the sole needs
to look separate anyway.
