distributions
You may be wondering what the difference is between equal, quantile, and all
of the other choices for Distribution. The mathematics involved in defining these
terms can be quite involved. However, here is a summary of each:
Individual Values Rather than each rule being a range with start and end
values, each rule will be a single value, and only objects that are an exact match
to that value will be included in each rule.
Quantile Quantile means that an equal number of the overall population will
be included in each rule. For example, if there are 100 buildings in the model
and 10 rules, there will be 10 buildings in each rule. The start and end values of
the rule will be set so that there are 10 buildings in each. As a result, the range
of each rule will vary.
