6. Click the road. If the gizmos do not appear, right-click and select Edit.
7. Click and hold the purple box-shaped gizmo nearest to the blue push-
pin. Drag the gizmo to the location of the pushpin and release.
The road now avoids the subdivision just west of the new location
of the curve. Although no road objects exist here, there are roads and
homes clearly indicated in the aerial photo. Your road should now
look similar to Figure 3.15.
Don't worry about
perfection with the
location of the edit.
Anywhere near the
pushpin is fine.

8. Restore the Vertex Edit 2 bookmark.
You are looking at a straight portion of road with a blue pushpin to
the west.
9. Right-click the road at a location that is approximately perpendicular
to the blue pushpin and select Add Vertex.
New gizmos will appear indicating the location of the new vertex.
10. Click and drag the box-shaped purple gizmo to the location of the
blue pushpin.
11. Click the cyan cone-shaped gizmo. Type 850 ( 259 ) in the tooltip that
appears (see Figure 3.16) and press Enter.
