using the default D50. This measurement is conducted using the Eye-One
Pro. Fifteen preset illuminant targets are provided.
ProfileMaker Pro allows a user to pick three different settings for
building both RGB and CMYK profiles that affect Gamut Mapping
variants for perceptual and colorimetric rendering intents. Each setting
is more progressively saturated than the other. The correct option can
be determined by the end user only after building a profile each way and
running a series of tests. A batch profile building dialog allows a user to
specify any number of parameters, name the profiles, and walk away as
the batch function creates all the profiles (see Fig. 6-27). This is especially
handy when building suites of CMYK profiles using different black gen-
eration parameters.
The CMYK options are robust and discussed in Chapter 7. There are
two options for profile size (Default and Large). The larger profile size is
recommended for devices that are extremely nonlinear. The MeasureTool
