Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shandong and Fujian by 2015 alone reached
nearly 10 GW, together with targets of over 1 GW in other
provinces.
As the early player in China's ofshore wind power market,
Sinovel embraced bigger market opportunities and challenges.
In June 2011, Sinovel obtained complete IPR, had the biggest
installation capacity and the globally leading technology of 6 MW
ofshore wind turbines. All this shows the advantages of Sinovel in
future's ofshore market competitiveness.
According to statistics of BTM, in 2010 already four Chinese
enterprises entered the world top 10 in sales. In addition to
Sinovel, three others, Goldwind, Dongfang Turbine, Guodian United
Power ranked no. 4, no. 7 and no. 10, respectively. China MingYang,
Sewind and XEMC Wind were ranked no. 11, no. 14, and no. 15,
respectively, posing challenges to traditional manufacturers in
Europe.

27.6 Success of Zhongfu Lianzhong

The improvement in China's wind turbine manufacturing has
increased the demand for high quality components on the
market. Zhang Dingjin, executive in charge of Zhongfu Lianzhong
Composites Group, said when talking with me about certification for
blades that what they gained through certification was not simply a
certificate, but how the process itself assured Zhongfu Lianzhong's
ability to make high quality blades, because the implementation of
the certification required technical contents and stringent
specifications to realise this.
This is the trust and hope from Zhongfu Lianzhong. I organised
the team and it took us one and a half years of hard work to
complete the thick-paged implementation rules of certification for
wind turbine blades. All this was aimed at realising the top 3 values
of CGC certification scheme:

(1) To promote the introduction, understanding and innovation
of the imported technology of blades and testify the maturity
and reliability of proprietary technologies;

(2) To assist producers to establish normative production process
and improve the capability of product conformity control;

(3) To assist the producers to make key quality and technical
information traceable during production process.
