Lip sync guides may be
useful to the animator but they do
not provide the full range movements
possible.
Lip sync guides appear in many texts on animation production and are
readily available to animators, and it is true that they can prove very useful
in creating believable lip sync. However, I believe they should be used only
as a guide; they cannot provide a foolproof solution to lip sync problems.
Indeed, I am very suspicious of any kind of guide that claims to offer a one-
size-fits-all solution to any animation or design problem.
