6.1.2 Passive mixers with obstacles in the mixing channel
Flows in passive mixers become unstable at a high Reynolds number. Similar to the turbulators used in
macroscale, obstacles placed in the mixing channels or repeated change can speed up this instability.
Figure 6.6 shows the two common implementations of obstacles in a mixing channel.
