Using folders in Adobe Bridge
Adobe Bridge is used for more than just navigating your file system. You can use Bridge to manage and
organize folders and files.
1 Click the tab of the Folders panel in the upper-left corner of the Bridge window to make sure it is for-
ward. Then click the arrow to the left of Desktop to display its contents. (If you are on the Mac OS,
you can click Desktop to show its contents.)
2 Click Computer to reveal its contents in the center pane of the Bridge window. Continue double-click-
ing items, or clicking the arrows to the left of the folder names in the Folder panel to reveal their con-
tents.
You can use Adobe Bridge to navigate your entire system, much as you would by using your computer's
directory system.
Managing folders
Adobe Bridge is a great tool for organizing folders and files. To reorder items on your computer, all you need
to do is drag and drop those items. You can create folders, move folders, move files from one folder to anoth-
er, and copy files and folders to other locations; any organizing task that you can perform on the computer
you can also perform in Adobe Bridge. This is a great way to help keep volumes of images organized for
easy accessibility, as well as easy searching. One advantage of using Adobe Bridge for these tasks is that you
have bigger and better previews of images, PDF files, and movies, with much more information about those
files at your fingertips.
3 Click Desktop in the Folders panel to reveal its contents again.
