In-Depth Information
Eliminate the areas that you might have included, in error, in the original selection.
If you did such an accurate selection that you have no areas to repair, paint an area somewhere on
your image anyway, just to see the effects of painting black on the mask. When you are done experi-
menting, press X to swap back to the white foreground color and repair the mask, as necessary.
Adjusting the Hue/Saturation layer
Now that you have created an accurate mask, the next few steps will be rather simple. Perhaps your client
has suggested that you use a more vibrant violet for the blazer. In this section, you will apply more color to
the blazer, and also edit the existing hue and saturation.
1 Click once on the adjustment layer thumbnail to reopen the Hue/Saturation information in the Properties
panel.
Click the adjustment layer thumbnail to change the settings.
2 On the Properties panel, click and drag the Hue slider to the right to about the 260 point, or type 260 in-
to the Hue text field.
3 Click and drag the Saturation slider to the right to about the 40 point, or type 40 into the Saturation text
field.
The green is now changed to a violet.
