In-Depth Information
A shy and retiring 9-year-old girl from Rockaway, New Jersey, thinks our rating
of the carousel for grade-schoolers should be higher:
I want to complain. I went on the Prince Charming Regal Carrousel four
times and I loved it! Raise those stars right now!
Princess Fairytale Hall (FastPass+)
What it is Character greeting venue. Scope and scale Minor attraction. Fright potential
Not frightening in any respect. Bottleneck rating Cinderella, Rapunzel, and Snow White:
9; Anna and Elsa: off the charts. When to go Before 10:30 a.m., after 4 p.m., or use
FastPass+—if you can get it. Authors' rating You want princesses? We got 'em; .
Duration of experience About 7-10 minutes (estimated). Average wait in line per 100
people ahead of you 35 minutes (estimated) for Cinderella and company, exponentially
longer for Anna and Elsa. Queue speed Slow … or, in the case of Anna and Elsa, poten-
tially as glacial as Arendelle.
PrincessFairytaleHallisprincesscentralintheMagicKingdom.Insidearetwogreet-
ing venues, with each holding a small reception area for two princesses. Thus, there
are four princesses meeting and greeting at any time, and you can see two of them
at once. Signs outside the entrance tell you which line leads to which princess pair
and how long the wait will be. Rapunzel usually leads one side, typically paired with
Snow White, Cinderella, or another princess, while Anna and Elsa from Frozen hold
forth on the other side.
Around 5-10 guests at a time are admitted to each greeting area, where there's
plenty of time for small talk, a photo, and a hug from each princess. Enough time is
given to each family, in fact, that we ran out of things to say to Rapunzel and shuffled
quietly over to Snow White.
Fairytale Hall first opened with Cinderella headlining one of the attraction's two
rooms, but Cindy was drawing roughly half the crowds Rapunzel did. When Anna
and Elsa debuted to 5-hour lines at Epcot's Norway Pavilion, Cinderella was demoted
to backup and the Scandinavians moved to the Magic Kingdom.
Anna and Elsa are the hottest character-greeting ticket in all of Walt Disney
World. If your child absolutely must meet them, use FastPass+—good luck with that,
