TIPS FOR PREGNANT MOTHERS
LET'S FACE IT: A visit to Walt Disney World is not the ideal vacation for an expecting
mom, but we also know that quite a lot of pregnant moms visit the World every year.
The most important advice for pregnant moms is to take it easy. If you travel by car or
plane, make sure you prepare your schedule in such a manner that you have plenty of
rest. Don't stay on your feet all day; stick to a healthy, balanced diet; but most of all
don't skip meals; and drink plenty of fluids. Keep the dining options flexible; morn-
ing sickness or sudden aversions or preferences to food can be dealt with easily if you
don't make reservations and go for whatever you feel like eating. Always carry some
snacks and bottled water with you. A plastic bag folded in your pocket in case you
feel unwell takes no space but gives peace of mind. You also should discuss your up-
coming Walt Disney World visit with your physician. He or she will certainly have
valuable tips.
Comfortable clothes are a must, and so are well-worn-in supporting shoes. You
may consider getting a maternity support belt to keep your back from hurting. If
you're using a special pillow at night to support your belly, don't forget to bring it
with you. If you do not have enough space for it in your suitcase, consider shipping
one ahead in a care box. Of course the hotel will provide you with extra pillows if
needed.
