the layout isn't as up-to-date as other hotels'—where many upscale hotel bathrooms
have two sinks (so two people can primp at once), the Hilton's has only one.
The Hilton's public areas are stylish and spacious. Families will enjoy the huge
zero-entrypool,completewithwaterslide,aswellasthe3-acrelazyriver.Evenbetter,
the Hilton staff run art and craft activities poolside during the day, allowing parents
to grab a quick swim and a cocktail. Pool-facing cabanas are also available for rent at
around $300 per day or $150 per half-day. If you're trying to get in swimsuit shape, a
nice fitness center sits on the ground floor.
The Hilton participates in the Waldorf Astoria's Kids Club next door, for children
ages 5-12. A daytime program is available 10:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m., and an evening pro-
gram is available 6-10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. Price is $75 for the first child,
$25 for each additional child.
There are more than a dozen restaurants and lounges between the Hilton and the
Waldorf Astoria, with cuisine including an upscale steakhouse, Italian, sushi, tapas, a
coffee bar, an American bistro, and breakfast buffet choices. Reservations are recom-
mended for the fancy places.
