veterinary pre-slaughter health inspection consists of the
following:

Type of any medicinal product, with dates of admin-
istration and withdrawal (this includes vaccines)

Results of any previous official pre-slaughter health
inspections of birds from the same specified group

Number sent for slaughter

Expected date of slaughter

Any additional examinations needed to establish:
a
Whether birds are suffering from a disease which
can be transmitted to humans or animals
b
Whether the birds show disturbance of general
behaviour or signs of sickness which may make the
meat unfit for human consumption

Checking the producer's records, which depending on
the type of bird include:

Date of arrival
b
Number
c
Mortality
d
Suppliers of feedingstuffs
e
Type, period of use and withdrawal periods of feed
additives
