should not be slaughtered for human consumption. The
veterinary pre-slaughter health inspection consists of the
following:
f Type of any medicinal product, with dates of admin-
istration and withdrawal (this includes vaccines)
g Results of any previous official pre-slaughter health
inspections of birds from the same specified group
h Number sent for slaughter
i Expected date of slaughter
2 Any additional examinations needed to establish:
a Whether birds are suffering from a disease which
can be transmitted to humans or animals
b Whether the birds show disturbance of general
behaviour or signs of sickness which may make the
meat unfit for human consumption
1 Checking the producer's records, which depending on
the type of bird include:
a Date of arrival
b Number
c Mortality
d Suppliers of feedingstuffs
e Type, period of use and withdrawal periods of feed
additives
