LIS 000 - E-Portfolio Design and Development
This course provides the student with a creative opportunity to develop an
electronic portfolio that is posted to the GENERIC U E-Portfolio Portal
and the World Wide Web. Instruction includes conceptualization and
categorization of assets and artifacts for portfolio development and
technology lab tutorials in the use of digital imaging, MS Office output to
Web pages, and tutorials in industry standard Web development software
applications. Emphasis and final grading is based upon completion of an
effective e-portfolio (Required for all majors) 3 credits.
Class Sizes and Locations

developing a program that needs classroom and computer laboratory space.)
Class size for the E-Portfolio Design and Development should be
limited to 25 students.
Courses can be taught in any Windows computer lab on the GENERIC
University campus that accommodates 25 computer users.
Here is a possible scenario for implementation of this program:

Upon entering their last semester junior year, all students will be encour-
aged and possibly required to complete and post a e- portfolio to the E-
Portfolio Portal on the World Wide Web. Upon completion of the e-
portfolio, the student's final project advisor or thesis advisor will evaluate
the e-portfolio and provide a pass/fail grade. The student will have several
options to complete the e-portfolio requirement:
Attend a 3 credit course E-Portfolio Design and Development, in
which students conceptualize, design, and post their Web portfolio. This
course could be cross listed in all disciplines.
