In-Depth Information
TYPICAL SCHEDULE : Begins at 3pm most days of the year. Unusual events, e.g., tapings of
shows on Main Street, may result in different times. The busiest days of the year often see
two parades: one around noon, the other at 3pm or 3:30pm. Heavy rain may lead to the
parade being scaled back, or even cancelled. LENGTH 15 minutes once it arrives.
WHERE TO SEE IT : The parade begins in Frontierland to the left of Splash Mountain, takes a
turn near Hall of Presidents, and continues down Main Street, exiting in between the Fire-
house and Emporium. People begin staking out spots on Main Street more than an hour
before showtime, but most days of the year there are great spots still available in Frontier-
land just 15-30 minutes before the parade. The height of the floats means that even little
kids don't need to be right in front, but the great entertainers and walking characters will be
hard for them to see from farther back. Plan to see it across from Pecos Bill where crowds
are lighter and you can be on your way sooner. The FastPass+ viewing area is in Town
Square near the entrance around the flag pole. While a nice view, it is directly in the sun
with virtually no shade or protection from the elements and doesn't benefit from the view
of Cinderella Castle, like the previous location. Because the parade takes about 20 minutes
to arrive, you'll end up waiting just as long, if not longer, than you would seeing it in Fron-
tierland.
Evening Main Street Electrical Parade
RANKING Major entertainment. EMH No. A parade may be scheduled at the beginning of
an evening EMH, but everyone is welcome to stay and watch. FP+ Yes, low priority now
that the location has moved to Town Square away from Cinderella Castle. TYPE Parade.
REQUIREMENTS None.
WHAT TO EXPECT Disney's World's current evening parade has been around in some form
for decades. Some view it as a worthy classic, others as an offering that was dated more
than a decade ago. SCARY FACTOR While the repetitive music and some of the floats may
seem like they're straight out of a Stanley Kubrick movie, the parade isn't overtly scary.
TYPICAL SCHEDULE : Runs twice most nights during busier weeks, and as rarely as 2-3
nights a week during quieter weeks and during periods when the park frequently closes for
evening parties. Heavy rain may lead to the parade being scaled back, or even cancelled.
LENGTH 15 minutes once it arrives.
WHERE TO SEE IT : The parade begins on Main Street between the Emporium and the Fire-
house, and exits to the left of Splash Mountain. If you are seeing the parade before Wishes,
pick your spot based on where you want to view Wishes from. Otherwise, pick a spot
in Frontierland 15-45 minutes before the parade, depending on how crowded the park is.
Floats are low compared to the afternoon parade, so getting your kids at the front pays off.
On nights with two parades, the second parade is much less crowded.
Evening Castle Show: Celebrate the Magic
RANKING Don't miss. EMH No. FP+ No, but the show is visible from the Wishes viewing
area described below. TYPE Projection show. REQUIREMENTS None.
