WHEN TO GO Before 10:30am or two hours before park close. EXPECT TO WAIT 15 to 30
minutes in the afternoon. LENGTH 3 minutes. WHERE TO SIT The common advice is to evenly
distribute weight on each side of the vehicle for less spinning. Or conversely, stick two
heavier people on one side and two lighter people on the other for more spinning. Does it
have an effect? Probably not, but it might make you feel better.
The Boneyard
RANKING Fun for kids, skippable for everyone else. EMH No. FP+ No. TYPE Playground.
REQUIREMENTS None.
WHAT TO EXPECT The Boneyard is an elaborately themed playground aimed at young kids
and has several stories of sand pits, swings, and things to climb on. SCARY FACTOR None.
WHEN TO GO Visit with youngsters when the bigger kids are riding Primeval Whirl and
DINOSAUR. Otherwise, visit in the late morning or afternoon when waits elsewhere peak.
The Boneyard does get hot, so save it for the end of the day during the summer. EXPECT TO
WAIT Very rarely any wait. LENGTH As long as it takes to pry Junior away.
TriceraTop Spin
RANKING Fun diversion, especially with kids. EMH Morning. FP+ No. TYPE Spinning ride.
REQUIREMENTS None.
WHAT TO EXPECT Riders enter four-person dinosaur-themed vehicles with two rows of two
people. Each row has a joystick that can slightly alter the way the vehicle moves: either up
and down or back and forth. The ride vehicles slowly move around the base of the ride in
a circle. SCARY FACTOR Minimal. Although the ride does move up, down, and side to side,
it's geared towards young children and it shouldn't frighten anyone.
WHEN TO GO Before 11am or about two hours before park close. EXPECT TO WAIT Peak waits
of 10 to 15 minutes are common. It's a walk-on, early and late. LENGTH 90 seconds. WHERE
TO SIT Your choice, though young kids will be asked to sit on the inside so they won't ac-
cidentally fall out. Riders in the front can reach behind and use the joystick in the back row
if there's nobody back there.
Epcot
Epcot is Walt Disney World's second most popular theme park and a quintessential part of
any theme park vacation. Most guests with older kids will want to prioritize a second day
here over a second day at Animal Kingdom or Hollywood Studios due to Epcot's vast size
and the time it takes to experience many of its attractions. Epcot is unlike any other theme
park, and many of its attractions take time and a little effort to enjoy.
Epcot consists of two very different pieces- Future World and World Showcase. Future
World is where you'll find the headlining rides like Soarin' and Test Track, in addition to
the bulk of the secondary attractions. It's the area located just inside the main entrance and
consumes the north half of the park. World Showcase is home to most of the dining and
