The sphere will emit particles that will fall downwards since the “Gravity” box is ticked
in the “Scene” tab. With the empty selected in the 3D window, go to the properties window
- “Physics” button and click on the “Force Fields” button. Select “Wind” from the “Type”
drop down selection menu (Figure 13.47). You will see the wind force field in the 3D win-
dow attached to the empty object (Figure 13.48). The wind force is acting along the
z
-axis
of the empty object at a strength of 1.000. We want the wind to blow the particles falling
from the sphere along the global
y
-axis. With the empty selected, rotate it about the
x
-axis
