Understanding Disney's FastPass+ System
Disney has always had a great system to help you get on the rides faster instead of wasting
your time standing in line all day. While many other theme parks add an additional 'up
charge' to their tickets of about ½ the price of the regular park admission ticket for those
whodon'twanttowaitinlinefortwohourstogetontopattractions(ahem...UNIVERSAL),
Disney has never- and hopefully will never do this. Over the course of many years, Disney,
always known for their great customer service, perfected their paper ride reservation system
called FASTPASS ® . (Not using caps for emphasis here- that's the way Disney trademarked
it.) FASTPASS was available for the most popular rides and attractions at all four Disney
theme parks. The paper process was fairly simple. Instead of going to the regular ride en-
trance you headed to the area near the entrance where you would find the FASTPASS dis-
tribution kiosks. You would put your park ticket into the FASTPASS machine and it would
print out your FASTPASS ticket.

Your ride times would be printed on the ticket, as would the time that you would be eligible
to obtain your next FASTPASS. Rather than being a specific 'reservation' time, you were
