My big stunt show debut- Could this be the end for Indy?
One final change to Hollywood Studios, a big one confirmed by Disney, is the removal
of the giant Sorcerer Mickey hat icon that was added to the park during the 100 Years of
Magic celebration in 2001. While this icon has been considered as an eyesore by many
WDW purists who preferred the original look of the park, it has been an integral part of
Hollywood Studios for me, and I'm going to miss it. The one constant with Disney parks
is change, so I guess it's time to move forward.
Below are the main areas of Disney's Hollywood Studios theme park.
Hollywood Boulevard
Hollywood Boulevard at Disney's Hollywood Studios is the equivalent of Main Street at
Disney's Magic Kingdom. Stores and shops line the street located at the entrance to the
park, and you'll occasionally find actors performing short skits to entertain the crowd. The
Hollywood Studios parade runs along this route which is also home to The Great Movie
Ride. Although The Great Movie Ride is the only attraction at Hollywood Studios located
on Hollywood Boulevard, the boulevard is also home to the famous Hollywood Brown
Derbyrestaurant,andanumberofuniqueshopssuchasMickey'sofHollywood,Keystone
Clothiers, and Adrian & Edith'sHead to Toe- a shopspecializing in embroidery where you
can get your hats, apparel, and towels personalized to make your Disney memories even
more special.
