Mrauk U's culinary options are pretty limited. There are a few local restaurants serving
basic Chinese-style food to the west of Mrauk U's market, while for something more up-
scale, consider the Gamone Phyu restaurant at Mrauk U Princess Hotel or the restaurant
at the Vesali Resort Hotel.

by the ex-civil servant, Shwe Maung Thar, the same artist who painted the ceiling panels
in the central hall of Shittaung Paya, and and his son, Khine Minn Tun.
