Teakwood Hotel GUESTHOUSE $$$

here are simple but attractive, some boasting windows that let in lots of light and open-
feeling bathrooms attractively decked out with rocks. There are a few new bungalow-
type rooms, and when we stopped by, a new structure being built. The downside is that
we've received reports of rather assertive sales pitches for boat trips.
Princess Garden Hotel HOTEL $$$

Li Canal a brief walk south from the centre of town, this place combines 12 wooden bun-
galows and seven rooms. All are relatively plain but comfortable, located around a shady
garden that boasts Nyaungshwe's only swimming pool, and looked after by friendly,
service-minded owners.
Hu Pin Hotel HOTEL $$$

of the bland Chinese-style hotel, the rooms here won't win any prizes for interior design,
but are spotlessly clean and comfortable, if rather overpriced. Standard rooms only have
twin beds, while the more expensive rooms, in an adjacent building, are larger, and in-
clude fridge and bathtub.
Pyi Guest House GUESTHOUSE $$$

form of nine new sturdy-feeling brick bungalows. Rooms are spacious and include TV,
fridge, safe and air-con, but not a whole lot of interior design or charm.
Queen Inn GUESTHOUSE $$$
