16 Back at the main Automations pane in Final Cut Server System Preferences, click
the Add (+) button to add a new automation. Choose File System Watcher and click
Continue. For Automation Name, enter Deliver Finished Media to Local . From the
Device pop-up menu, choose Watchers (this is the location where your Watch folders
reside, not the location to which you'll publish content). Select the Watch Subfolder
checkbox, click Browse, and choose Local. For Filter, click the Add (+) button and
choose *.MOV. When finished, click Continue.
17 In the Responses dialog, click the Add (+) button at the bottom left and choose Copy
from the pop-up menu. For Name, enter Publish iPhone to Local. For Destination
Device, choose Local from the pop-up. Select the Destination Subfolder checkbox,
click Browse, choose “H264 for iPhone,” and then click OK. From the “Transcode
source to” pop-up, choose “H.264 for iPod Video and iPhone 640x480.” Leave the
Metadata Set pop-up at None.
18 In the Responses dialog, click the Add (+) button at the bottom left and choose
Copy from the pop-up menu. For Name, enter Publish AppleTV to Local . For Destina-
tion Device, choose Local from the pop-up. Select the Destination Subfolder checkbox,
click Browse, choose “H264 for AppleTV,” and then click OK. From the “Transcode
source to” pop-up, choose “H.264 for Apple TV.” Leave the Metadata Set pop-up
at None.
19 In the Responses dialog, click the Add (+) button at the bottom left and choose Copy
from the pop-up menu. For Name, enter Publish MPEG-4 to Local . For Destination
Device, choose Local from the pop-up. Select the Destination Subfolder checkbox,
click Browse, choose MPEG4, and then click OK. From the “Transcode source to”
pop-up, choose MPEG-4. Leave the Metadata Set pop-up at None.
20 In the Responses dialog, click the Add (+) button at the bottom left and choose Delete.
Make sure it's under all of the copy responses. When finished, click Continue, and
then Done.
Now you'll add your final watcher.
21 Back at the main Automations pane, click Add (+) to add a new automation. Choose
File System Watcher and click Continue. For Automation Name, enter Deliver Finished
Media to Xsan . From the Device pop-up menu, choose Watchers (this is the location
