Inside the Watchers folder, create three new directories:
FTP
,
Local
, and
Xsan
(Graphic
and Media come with the default template). This is where you drop your content to
be transcoded and delivered.

Open System Preferences, click the Final Cut Server icon, and authenticate. Click
the Automations button, and click the Add (+) button in the bottom left to add a
new automation.

In the Automation Setup Assistant, select File System Watcher and click Continue. In
the next dialog, for Automation Name, enter
Deliver Finished Media to FTP
.

From the Device pop-up menu, choose Watchers (this is the location where your watch
folders reside, not the location to which you'll publish content); select the Watch
Subfolder checkbox; click Browse and choose FTP as the folder you'll be watching.

For Filter, click the Add (+) button on the bottom left and choose *.MOV (you want
only movies, not any other files). When finished, click Continue.
