Searching and
As you create thousands, tens of thousands, and hundreds of thousands
of assets, the metadata you enter during ingest gives you the ability
to quickly find the desired assets. The metadata combinations possible
for each asset are mind-boggling. Yet, Final Cut Server is built to make
searching that complex metadata simple and fast.
Final Cut Server allows you to modify the interface in ways to speed up
searches. These modifications allow you to customize advanced searches
by any of the metadata fields. And after you have found the desired
assets, you can save the search parameters for quick recall.
When you have found assets you need to track together, you can store
those assets in a production—a virtual folder of assets that can be easily
shared with other users. Any asset type may be added to a production,
making the productions into extensions of multiple searches.
