Remote DVD or CD Sharing doesn't work with most copyrighted discs, such as audio CDs and movie DVDs.
2. On MacBook Air, click Finder in the Dock.
3. In the sidebar's Devices section, click Remote Disc. The Finder displays an icon for each Mac sharing
a DVD drive, as shown in Figure 2.4.
2.4 In the sidebar's Devices section, click Remote Disc to see all the Macs that are sharing their DVD drives.
4. Double-click the icon for the Mac that has the disc you want to access.
5. If the remote Mac requires the user's permission to use the drive, click the Ask to use button. The
user on the remote Mac sees the dialog shown in Figure 2.5.

6. The remote Mac user must click Accept at this point. Finder displays an icon for the disc.
7. Double-click the disc icon. Finder mounts the disc on the MacBook Air desktop, and you can now use
the disc as though it was in a local drive.
Exchanging Files Wirelessly with AirDrop
If you want to exchange a file between MacBook Air and another Mac, you have several ways to go about it:
You can join both Macs to an existing infrastructure wireless network that uses a wireless router as the con-
nection point.
You can create and then join both Macs to an ad hoc wireless network that doesn't use a router.
