Using context menus
In addition to the menus at the top of your screen, you can use context menus to display
commands relevant to the active tool or selection. To display context menus, position the
pointer over a selected object or anywhere in the document window and click with the right
mouse button (Windows) or press Control and hold down the mouse button (Mac OS).
Tip
You can display a context menu when you are entering or editing text. The
Type context menu lets you insert special characters, check spelling, and
perform other text-related tasks.
1. Using the Selection tool ( ), click any object on the page, such as the text frame
containing the words “If you don't know the words....”
2. Right-click (Windows) or Control-click (Mac OS) the text frame. Note what op-
tions are available.
3. Select different types of objects on the page and display their context menus to see
what commands are available.
