Finishing Off the Matte
You can use either the UV/Image Editor or the Nodes window itself to look at viewer output. By clicking the
Backdrop option in the Nodes window header and selecting the View Alpha option, you can see the results of
the composite directly in that window, as shown in Figure 9-77 . The V key and Alt+V hotkey combination,
respectively, allow you to zoom this backdrop out and in.

You can use the composited image as the foreground to a more involved scene in the compositor by intro-
ducing a background, as shown in Figure 9-78 (and repeated in color in the topic's color insert). The image file
