Step Three:
While this preset works well most of the
time, and is a good starting point here,
let's adjust a couple of things: increase
the Highlight amount to 9%, decrease the
Vibrance to 0%, and then go up to the
Edge Glow section and turn on the Edge
Smoothness checkbox. Now, if you like this
look, the good news is that you don't have
to move all these sliders every time. You
can create your own preset and it will then
appear in the Preset pop-up menu. To
save these settings as a preset, click on the
flyout menu at the top right and choose
Save Preset . A dialog will appear where
you'll name your preset, then click the
Save button, and it's saved as a preset.
Step Four:
If the image looks good to you at this
point, just click the OK button at the
bottom right, and it will compile the
five images you see at the bottom of the
dialog into a single HDR-toned image and
open that image in Photoshop (like you
see here). Now, one thing that we'll need
to do before we leave Photoshop is fix
what's going on outside the windows (the
sky has banding and the trees have halos).
