Close the window when you're finished. To deactivate the Debug menu option,
again close Contacts, and open a Terminal window, typing the following:

Type into PDFs
If you open a PDF form within Preview, you might find you can simply click
in any boxes or on any files and start typing—even if the PDF hasn't been
created or designed for you to type into. This is because Preview detects fields
intended for you to write in and automatically turns them into text fields.
Whatever you type can usually be dragged and dropped out of the boxes and
onto any location on the page, if you want.

Play Ripped DVD Backups
By downloading and installing the
LIBDVDCSS
system file,

you can create backups
of any DVD movie discs you own by dragging and dropping from Finder the
VIDEO_TS
folders on the disc to your Mac's hard disk (you can ignore any other
files or folders on the DVD). Unlike apps that rip movies to your hard disk,
copying the
VIDEO_TS
folder makes a 100 percent faithful copy of the movie,
including its menu and chapter system.
However, playing the movie from within the backup folder is difficult: you
must start the DVD Player app (ensuring no movie DVD disc is in the drive),
click File→Open DVD Media, and select the folder.
There's an easy way around this: rename the
VIDEO_TS
folder after the name
of the movie (i.e.,
STAR WARS
), and then give the folder a
.DVDBUNDLE
extension (so
the full folder name becomes something like
STARWARS.DVDBUNDLE
).
