presets that come with Photoshop (see Figure 2.17). As you gain more
experience with Photoshop, you'll probably find that you are reach-
ing for the same tools and configuring their options the same way
time after time, so consider saving tool presets to save time configur-
ing. It's like reaching for a hammer and a bag of nails compared to a
pressing the trigger on pneumatic nail gun.
You can save and
access presets with
the tool presets
panel as well.
if you need to delete
a preset, go to the
preset Manager,
select the preset,
and click delete.

Arranging Panels
Photoshop has over two dozen panels and extensions that would completely fill
the screen if they were to be displayed all at once. Photoshop's panel and dock
architecture lets you configure the user interface to suit the kinds of tasks you
are performing while leaving plenty of room onscreen to work. In the following
steps you will arrange panels and see how easy it is to change the UI.
