2. Choose File a Automate a Photomerge. Select the Browse button
and navigate to the HDR Panoramic Photos folder. Shift+select all
12 photos with sequential names HDR01.jpg through HDR12.jpg
and click OK. Select Blend Images Together, Vignette Removal, and
Geometric Distortion Correction. Select Auto in the Layout panel
(see FigureĀ 14.9). Click OK and Photoshop begins an automated pro-
cess that results in a single panoramic image.

3. Open the Layers panel and see that you are left with 12 layers, each with
a mask that blends it with its surrounding layers (see FigureĀ 14.10).
Press Cmd+E to merge the visible layers.

can paint on layer
masks to refine it.
4. The border is ragged after Photomerge. You could either crop this
away or see if you can fill some of it in; here you'll end up doing a
little of both. Cmd+click the single remaining layer's thumbnail to
select all of its pixels.
5. Press Shift+Cmd+I to invert the selection so that the transparent
border pixels are selected (see Figure 14.11).
