Working with Panoramas
You can create a variety of panoramic images with Photoshop—starting from
two side-by-side photos all the way to a wraparound 360-degree panorama that's
viewable on the Web. Photoshop doesn't include an interactive wraparound pan-
oramic web exporter, but I'll direct you to third-party software that makes this
optional step easy. Panoramas, whether for the Web or for print, can be impres-
sive ways to visualize anything from a room to a city.
Using Photomerge
In the following steps you will merge 12 HDR photos into a super-wide
panorama.
1. Locate and view the HDR Panoramic Photos folder among this chap-
ter downloads. The folder contains 12 overlapping images shot on a
tripod. Figure 14.8 shows this assortment of photos. When you are
shooting overlapping images, plan for about 40 percent overlap for
best results.
