You can use advanced free transform modes to deform paths by nonuniformly
scaling, skewing, distorting, warping, and altering perspective. In the following
steps you will experiment with each of these modes.

1. Open Design.psd or continue with the file you created in the previous
section.

2. Select the Shape 1 layer containing the green moon custom shape.
Press Cmd+T to enter Free Transform Path mode. Position the cursor
outside the moon shape and drag until both points of the crescent
point downward, about -118 degrees. Drag the moon so that its refer-
ence point is centered on the intersection of guides (see Figure 10.13).
Press Enter.

3. Press Cmd+T, hold Opt to scale symmetrically about the reference
point, and drag the top middle handle of the transform controls
upward until the Height value on the canvas reads approximately
150% (see Figure 10.14). Press Enter.
