frequency of occurrence and the actual value of each dependent variable
score per level of the independent variable. The Normalityplotswith tests
check box produces normal and detrended probability plots that we will
not cover in this text, along with the Kolmogorov-Smirnov statistic and
Shapiro-Wilk statistic for testing the normality assumption. Because of
our focus on ANOVA principles and procedures, we will not elaborate on
the use of boxplots, stem-and-leaf plots, or normal probability plots. The
interested reader should consult Meyers et al. (2006) for an introduction
to these topics.
