not cover in this text, along with the Kolmogorov-Smirnov statistic and
Shapiro-Wilk statistic for testing the normality assumption. Because of
our focus on ANOVA principles and procedures, we will not elaborate on
the use of boxplots, stem-and-leaf plots, or normal probability plots. The
interested reader should consult Meyers et al. (2006) for an introduction
to these topics.
