On Rte 36, on the north side of the lake, the information centre has details about the na-
tional park, as well as a cafe . Þingvellir Visitors Centre also has information.
Getting There & Away
The easiest way to get here is on a Golden Circle tour or in a hire car.

Bus 6/6A Reykjavík-Gullfoss (Ikr2,500 BSÍ Bus Station to/from Þingvellir, one daily
mid-June to mid-September, stopping at various points around Þingvellir for 75 minutes,
then continuing to Laugarvatn, Geysir, Gullfoss and back).

Bus F35/F35A Reykjavík-Akureyri (Ikr1800 Harpa to/from Þingvellir, one daily late-June
