Photoshop.com workspaces
As well as the editing mode (now called Photoshop Express Editor) we have been looking at
here, Photoshop.com has two other tool areas - Photoshop Express Organizer and Photo-
shop Express Style Match - and two viewing areas - My Gallery and My Library - that can
be used to manage and view your photos. Access these areas from the entries in the Me and
Online Tools menus of Photoshop.com.
The key workspaces for
registered members of
Photoshop.com can be
found under the Me (1)
and Online Tools (2)
menus.
My Library and My Gallery areas are available only when you are signed in as a registered
member of the site. These workspaces are private and viewable only by you. You can decided
to invite specific friends and family to view the Online Albums stored here and marked as
private, but apart from these selected viewers, no-one else can access the photos stored in
this area. Even then, they only have access to the Albums that you choose. A special version
of My Gallery complete with your details and any public albums is viewable when the public
navigates their way to your Photoshop.com webspace. The My Friends area is also part of
the public face of your Photoshop.com a ccount. Here you can not only view any of your
Albums that you have chosen to invite others to view, but also the shared albums of other
Photoshop.com users as well.
My Gallery - public and private viewing
The My Gallery area is unique among the workspaces in Photoshop.com a s it can be viewed
both by the public and also by the user. When signed in, you see a list of public Albums on
the left of the screen, some details about the member that can be edited and thumbnails for
the public albums in the main display area. You can choose whether albums are private,
viewed by invitation only or totally public. These changes are made in the My Library work-
space where all albums are displayed. Public or shared albums are marked green if they are
