A Brief Study on the Theory and Application of
Interactive Simulation

Abstract. There are difference types of simulation software should be used in
some problems like noise analysis, fatigue analysis, optimization, and so forth.
A new definition should use to general designation this technology as interac-
tive simulation. More and more very complexity engineering problems and a
problem which depends on other value will be solving through this concept.
This paper mainly introduces the theory and application of interactive simula-
tion and it will useful to the computer simulation engineers and technicians.

1 Introduction
These years, there exist all kinds of simulation software in our society, CAD software
like UG, Catia, Pro/E, Solidworks, AutoCAD, CAE software like Nastran, Abaqus,
Ansys, Hyperworks, and CAM software like MasterCAM, and so forth. These pieces
of software have different features from each type, CAD software should be used to build
the model of products [1], CAE software should to analysis the motion, stress, strain,
vibration, fluid flow [2] etc. and CAM software should simulate the process of NC
machining [3].
First assume the school or corporations have the right to use some different soft-
ware. And a complexity engineering problem should be solving by interactive simula-
tion easier than use unique software or maybe some problem couldn't solved by
unique software [4]. A preliminary definition to interactive simulation may express as
use some different software or different modules to solve a problem which hard to
solve or can't solve by unique software or modules. Based on this technology some
primary engineers and technicians may solve some complexity engineering problem
by basic skill and it means some senior engineers should to do other more value work.
Cycle time of product development would be shortage at the same time and this was
promoted in our society especially these years. At present this technology always has
been used to solve following problems:
(1)Build an analysis model by different software through interactive simulation.
(2) Pre-treatment and post-processing of analysis by these pieces of software inter-
active with analysis software [5].
