A server pool must have been created in the Oracle VM Manager. This could
include the creation of a shared storage repository for a server pool support-
ing high availability.
Installation media for Solaris 10 10/09 must have been added to the Oracle
VM Manager.
Chapter 4, “Oracle Solaris 10 as an x86 Guest,” provides additional details on
the Xen hypervisor and lists the Solaris 10 updates that have the necessary device
drivers for operation within the Oracle VM.
8.3.2 Creating an Oracle Solaris 10 Guest Virtual Machine
This example guides you through the process of creating a Solaris 10 guest virtual
machine in an Oracle VM environment and includes screen shots of the process.
8.3.2.1 Step 1: Creating the Virtual Machine
With a browser, navigate to the Oracle VM Manager. From the Virtual Machines
panel, shown in Figure 8.6, click the Create Virtual Machine button to begin. Look
for this button in the lower-right corner of the screen.

On the next panel, select Create from installation media—we are going to install
the software from a copy of the installation DVD. On the next screen, select the
