4.4 Citrix XenServer
Citrix XenServer is a server virtualization platform derived from the work of the
Xen community. Modifications and additions include features such as live migra-
tion (XenMotion), centralized multiserver management (XenCenter), virtual
machine templates, snapshots, shared storage support, and resource pools. The
product is free to download and use.
Citrix XenServer supports paravirtualization with Windows and Linux distribu-
tions such as Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Novell SuSE, Debian, Oracle Enterprise
Linux, and CentOS.
Table 4.4 details Citrix XenServer 5.5 U1 capabilities and the Xen version on
which it is based.

4.4.2 Oracle Solaris PV Drivers
Citrix XenServer provides guest paravirtualized drivers for Microsoft Windows
