The xVM hypervisor paravirtualized drivers are automatically loaded and in-
stalled on Solaris 10 10/08 and later releases. They are available for Solaris 10
05/08 as patch 137112-06 or later. In Table 4.3, the reference to HVM and PVIO
is a variation on an HVM guest that uses paravirtualized network and disk driv-
ers for improved performance. In the case of OpenSolaris, the guest can either
be a paravirtualized or HVM guest; in either case, paravirtualization drivers are
loaded and installed automatically.
Table 4.3 outlines the certification for the Solaris and OpenSolaris operating sys-
tems as x86 guests running xVM hypervisor on a supported host.
