The pleasure of a specific meal can be decided directly after finishing the meal
and without any logical reasoning and explanations you may sense the indicative
feeling and maybe make a conclusion. The summary of the experienced occasion
may provide each participant with a feeling of pleasure that will be kept in mem-
ory. The occasion will, if successful, also facilitate the possibility of creating a new
gathering in similar situations.
The awareness of how a person comes up with that specific conclusion in a
common and daily situation may be an experience of interest. Situations that a
person may cope with, and maybe can inductively conclude with some reasonable
explanation, is that together with existing background knowledge provide reasons
for this given specific opinion, e.g., the dinner was extremely boring. This experi-
ence may provide us with a new and understandable knowledge of why the daily
actions taken, and why it is provided in a specific order.
I may, in my own world of experienced situations and prioritised sensing
occasions from past, emphasise the flavours that my brain calls special attention
to. For example, when I smell the flavour of newly baked buns, I experience the
sensation and enjoyment from my childhood. Also, I have when travelling some-
times aversion against train transportation, due to, at least my belief, that I as a
child had a feeling of unbalance showing tendencies of sickness. This was at older
ages compensated by the knowledge that I probably had this perception related to
earlier experiences from my childhood.
The reader may also recall the strong effects from earlier gained experiences.
What sensations do make strong recall and will provide amplification of the perceptual
inputs?
- on holidays,
- in meal situations,
- family meetings.
This self-insight of context is of importance and the fact that earlier memo-
rised situations may affect the final feeling also in a distorted way of trying to find
similar events that may help defining an object or explaining a situation.
