Figure 10.7. Fluorescent images of functionalized electrospun fibers
incorporating different fluorescence dyes, DiIC (red) and DiOC (green).
The multiple electrospinning technique showed mixed and layered fibrous
structures with red- and green-labeled fibers simultaneously. Electrospin-
ning technology shows potential as an adequate scaffolding system for tis-
sue engineering applications (unpublisheddata). See also ColorInsert.
