Step 2: Simulate relative size
Both scientists are equal in size. Visually, they appear to be the same distance from
you. Let's change that. Remember that relative size deals with scale. Objects larger in
scale are perceived to be closer to the viewer than smaller scaled objects. Select the
Free Transform tool from the Tools palette. Click on the clone (scientist on the right).
Position the cursor over the upper-right handle. Click and drag to the left while holding
down the Shift key. This will reduce the clone's scale uniformly (Figure 2.11).

You just simulated relative size. By reducing the size of the clone, it now appears
that the clone is further away. An alternative method to scaling in Flash is to use the
Transform palette (Window > Transform) and enter numeric values to scale (Figure 2.12).
