At the Ærø ferry dock is the Maritime Centre, with its HQ inside a candy-striped timber
warehouse (Pakhuset) from the late 19th century. The centre arranges cruises on historic
sailing ships in high summer (late June to mid-August), with the possibility of sailing from
various ports in the area (Svendborg, Faaborg, Marstal and Ærøskøbing on Ærø,
Rudkøbing on Langeland). The website outlines the schedule.
Pakhusbutikken, the store inside the centre, sells a range of souvenirs, including local
produce from the area (try the delectable Skarø ice cream).
