Built in 1703 as the naval commander's residence, this is the island's only inn, with six
simple rooms and a traditional Danish restaurant open for lunch and dinner daily. Most of
the rooms come with harbour views.
Getting There & Away
Christiansøfarten ( 56 48 51 76; www.bornholmexpress.dk ; return ticket adult/child Dkr250/
125) operates passenger ferries to Christiansø from Gudhjem year-round. From July to late
August, ferries depart Gudhjem daily at 10am, 12.30pm and 3pm. Return ferries depart
Christiansø at 2pm, 4.15pm and 7.30pm. Sailing time is around an hour. Services are re-
duced outside the high season - check the ferry website for times.
Dogs or other pets are forbidden on Christiansø island.
